If you just want to fly a big RJ for giggles and grins, it would be another story.

Please do not come work here. Based on what you've said here, and my knowledge that our recruiters troll this site, I'm sure they will have no problem figuring out who you are, though, so we won't have to worry about it.
I simply cannot wrap my mind around the entitlement mentality of Generation Me. You'll only go work for a regional flying "heavy" RJs. Then proceed to start telling people off for calling you out on it.
Do you guys realize how many new hires we've had terminated before they put in a year for things like refusing to show up for IOE because they didn't get the base they wanted, raising hell because they didn't get the aircraft they wanted, calling in sick repeatedly on probation, salling in sick and jumpseating/non reving on probation, telling off instructors/check airmen, etc...
This so called "pilot shortage" has made newhires of the participation trophy generation think the airlines owe them a job. That the airlines need them more than they need the airlines. It's astounding.

First I love how you dont know what your talking about ( yes the Mid East Carriers want people want heavier aircraft experience NO 135/45 or CR2 ). Second I enjoy how you just want to yell at people looking for information yet ask something does not sound right to you.
The only thing I need to get over is the attitude thats both defeating and depressing sometimes on this forum from people who just want to flame on and not aid the conversation.
ufff

I was giving you information based on what you were saying. No one in the US carries about what size RJ you fly, and that upgrade and reserve times are infinite at ASA on the 700, especially in ATL. We are also slated to lose 23 aircraft on the ASA side between this and next year. So you would be stuck at the bottom for years. It would take you years to get a descent amount of time that would help you out with what you are trying to do. So yes, I do know what I'm talking about. I've been here a few years. Take my advice or not, but my advice is to go somewhere else

I'm a Gen X'er and i think it's great that people are quitting for not getting the base they want and telling instructors off. Aviation is so insular and there needs to be changes. Think about the FBO's you've been to, where everyone has some sort of exclusive attitude, no customer service, the feeling of the staff doing you a favor by allowing you to pay for flying.
That has transmitted int the airline world. Some of these instructors NEED to be told to F-off! The poor pay and treatment has been absorbed for too long. Maybe pos. space to work or better bases would help retain people. Maybe enough "hell raising" will draw attention to arrogant instructors who CAN"T INSTRUCT! I instructed for 3 years, and a lot of these instructors violate every Fundamental Of Instruction rule there is. In summary: we need push-back.

Tell me, why is your MEC stalling negotiations? If they have authorization/mandate/consensus to vote in MOU 32, they have no reason to keep stalling negotiations...

That was a weak comeback Putzeys. And it IS said with two syllables by our senior pilots from south Georgia. "Ayyy Ceeee". But yes, trot out a joke I made on the pipe 3 years ago because you can't rebut anything else I've said with facts.

Anyway, I don't know why you insist on asking me questions about the XJT MEC as if I'm a rep. All I know is that we made it known to them that we are not interested in work rule change MOUs unless there are absolutely no give backs, or it's just overwhelmingly in favor of the pilots, like the CMT LOA. So they unanimously rejected MOU 31. Other than that, they have the blessing to pass any MOU that clarifies existing language or codifies current practice, like MOU 32 does. You know, the things that MOUs are actually meant for? As for negotiations, make up your mind. First you accuse the XJT MEC of stalling when in fact there are at least three very good reasons why they are doing their due diligence. Then you said they changed their minds since now they are meeting with the company in May. But today you say they are stalling. So which is it?
