I think it's deplorable the way Inc treats XJT like the redheaded stepchild of their so called "family". And it's mostly due to the fact that XJT is unionized and SkyWest isn't. The pilots at SkyWest should grow some balls and become unionized to show solidarity. We all know that won't happen..... That would be a helluva lot easier than XJT getting rid of the union to kiss up to Inc. Getting rid of a union is like getting pi$$ out of a swimming pool. Once it's in there, it's in there.

Yeah and I suppose your billion dollar bracket will pan out as well...
There is something to consider here.... Why would Inc merge the list at your current seniority? OO has A LOT of pilots senior enough and definitely wouldn't want increase those #'s. I could see Inc winding down XJT and offering pref interviews to get the pilots we'll need at a much lower seniority/costs. I know it sucks but that's the way it goes unfortunately.

And Slats, I know you're a troll, but talking about pref interviews at OO is beyond silly. People would just leave even more than they already are if that was put in front of them. Inc. can't afford for pilots to just leave. I agree XJT may be bled down somewhat before all this happens, but that is happening anyway, and who really cares because your position on your list at time of integration is the only thing that matters. I am about 15% on the XJT list, and I will be about 15% on the new list if I'm still here when this is all done. If anything else is proposed I will go sell tires or walk dogs before moving 1 airplane anywhere for Inc. They know this. You should too.

There would be no "increase" in senior pilots. We all work here already, just on 3 different seniority lists. You do straight percentage integration to 2 decimal places, that should be enough for anything under 9,999 pilots. In case of a "tie" in percentage seniority, a list integration committee composed of members from each of the 3 groups takes turns spinning a 3-segmented wheel of fortune to determine order. Basically no one loses much of anything. If you lose a tiny bit on the wheel of fortune, you are just a little unlucky. It would be fair all around. You fence pretty much everything for a few years to avoid a Pinacolaba-style training fiasco, except upgrade vacancies. Upgrades go in order of the new list.

The faster you leave, the faster we can kill that money losing operation. And instead of wasting money on XJT, Inc can waste it on employee compensation instead. I like how you think.

From the 10th to the 12th on the CRJ in my base, I moved up 1 number. Then from when bidding closed and the final awards came out, I moved up 5 numbers from when bidding opened. Looks like stuff is finally starting to open up.
BTW, bid a low month for next month, 17 days off, 88 hours, longest trip is a 3 day, and I have the 4 days prior to Easter off along with the 3 days after for a total of 8 in that stretch.

Merger...Doubt it will ever happen. And the "Union" idea at SkyWest wouldn't fly right now... If think a more likely outcome would be a ASA/SKW merger with XTJ staying separate. Look at the signs... ASA could have easily done the 4 AA 200's out of ORD...??... But no they use SKW... Somethings up..
