I know for a fact this is wrong. If you want to PM me I'd be happy to talk to you about it.

I've yet to speak to one that has regretted leaving XJT. This place is winding down, how long it will take is anyone's guess, but the future is not good for the bottom half of the seniority list.

That's the stupidest thing I've heard. Upgrade is nice, but not a neccessity. Majors are taking guys without TPIC time already. Just imagine next year. Why take a pay cut, especially to MESA when attrition will rise.

Smart move IMO. No need to stay at a stagnant company for years on end slinging gear. Going to a company that has more than 1 vacancy bid every 6 months is better. Yes majors are taking Regional FOs, but not year 3 guys.

Winding down? Can you elaborate? I have an interview at XJT next month.

On the L-XJT side we are seeing our fleet shrink from 242 today to 197 next year. L-ASA are losing a number of CRJ-200s on a 2 for 1 basis for 700/900s I believe. Our CPAs don't look likely to be renewed and management plan to ask our major partners to simply pay more money for their existing contracts...a genius solution that is destined to fail. Go elsewhere, this place is awful.

Actually, it's worse than that. We currently have 252 ERJs and 165 CRJs. The fleet plan calls for 216 ERJs and 147 CRJs by YE2014. That's a loss of 54 aircraft.

The fleet plan shows a total of 200 aircraft loss by the end of 2017. This needs to be one of the questions you asked them when interviewing your prospective employer.

Just remember that it'll be nothing but sunshine, unicorns, and bright futures from pilot recruitment. Meanwhile they're hinting to their current employees that the end is nigh.

Actually, L-ASA isn't even being offered 2-1 700/900 anymore. From this point out, it's all -200 retirements with no replacements.

This. Doug H, be sure to let us know how bright they tell you the future is, because all we're hearing is that the company is going out of business because we greedy pilots get paid too much.
