I really hope you guys vote this down. I dont have much faith because recent history shows Pilots vote yes. If it is voted in most of the yes voters will hate themselves for it with in a year. That is what has happened here at 9e. Most of the yes voter's Myself included will say well I have a job so I have that. And a day or maybe a few and then it will be darn it We should have burnt this place down because it is more miserable then it was before. Good luck And fingers crossed you guys are stronger then we were.

I think he was actually being pretty humble, as in saying "Hey guys we screwed up and only now realize it... don't make the same short-sided mistake that we did.", and then you bash him for it?

Since this seems to be "the" Expressjet thread I guess I'll ask my question here. Let me start by saying that I've never flown for an airline, so I am unfamiliar with the processes. That being said, How does the pass system work for XJT? Are the passes limited to XJT only? Or are there agreements with the majors? Obviously XJT doesn't fly overseas, so are there pass privileges with airlines like UAL and DAL? Or would I have to buy ID90s or something like that?
Thanks in advance for the answers!

So you're saying that UAL, DAL and in some cases AAL offer XJT actual passes for travel?

Of course, but at a lower boarding priority than other employees of those airlines. This is standard throughout the industry for all regionals. If you fly express operations for a major carrier you get full, unlimited pass privileges on them but at a lower priority...but also realize that being at a lower priority (just ahead of buddy pass/id 90 riders) means you probably won't get on an oversold flight too often.

We also have ID90s/ZEDs on a lot of major airlines, AA, US Airways, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa, KLM, Iberia, TAM, Qantas...just to name a few.
Of course we are also in CASS, so you can jumpseat on pretty much every US airline.
