Cpt. Tony, here is what you said:

One year duration is much easier to swallow.
It would have to go up for a vote. If it passed then the ASA/XJT side would integrate.

Joe,
So basically what you are saying is that we wouldn't have to negotiate for 3 or more years for a new TA. If we vote this down, we can accept the one that Skywest was just offered. Am I correct?

By the way, why do you guys seem to always negotiate things without any hard language in the contract and also seem to not get anything concrete for the reserves? Even RAH has it in their contract that a reserve's days off cannot be moved. How hard would that have been to incorporate that into our TA? Do you guys not see the Reserves as part of the pilot group? How much would you had to give up to get that wording?

Just musing here but after reading someone's comment in the Skywest thread about "chess moves", I would like to posit that maybe SKW is counting on us balking at the currently offered TA and buying into the SKW TA. If that's done, even without a single list, what's to stop them from integrating OCC's? Training Centers etc.? Would a SOC be required for that much integration? Honest questions gentlemen.

Flame bait much? I refuse to feed the troll. The only reason why you're back here is because they ran you off the fb page.

What is everyone's opinion on the SkyWest agreement vs the current TA?

And is it something we could live with for a year or 2? By then all the CPA's would have been settled (according to mgt), pilot shortage in full force and we could go after big gains.

Dunno. Interesting proposition for sure.

A lot of the Qol perks we have would go away. It's not a better contact than even the TA.

Only it would not be a year or 2. More like 6 or 8 or 10. Because after they get what they want, why renegotiate anything else? Low-balling ourselves only prolongs the regional hell we are trapped in. We need to tell them to visit Willis Tower and make sure to bring back a big bag of money. That reaches the end game more swiftly than begging for cpa. Force UNITED to make the decision on how to handle this (tight pilot supply, do you want your airplanes to move or not?) because right now they think they can make Skywest handle it for them. Skywest is United middle management, whether we see this or not will determine how successful we are. We could be quite successful if we care to see the truth.
