If anyone has ever taken a personal LOA and returned to flying the CRJ, please shoot me a PM. I have some questions.

For those still thinking we are going West again...

Delta will offer customers five daily flights between Vancouver and Seattle, operated by Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines using 76-seat, two-class CRJ-900s. Additionally, the airline will begin one daily summer seasonal flight between Fairbanks, Alaska and Seattle using a Boeing 737-800. Each aircraft is equipped with First Class and Economy Comfort seating as well as onboard Wi-Fi.

ExpressJet will never have a west coast base if we are still part of Skywest. Any new flying that way will always go to Skywest regardless of which mainline carrier.

Bingo. At most, we might have a MSP base as rumored before, then fly MSP-SEA then branch out from there. The more likely story is to give it to legacy Skywest.

I don't see us getting an MSP base as 717s arrive. Most of the flying we do there are long haul routs to large cities. That was never meant for an RJ, we just filled in as the Busses and DC-9s left. My money is on LGA. 90% of my trips operate there now.

My guess is they won't open any new bases after the TA fails and I doubt we'll see any vacancy bids until 2014. It's mostly FOs leaving (wishing I was one of the FOs leaving) and they don't seem to want to upgrade anyone...

All my friends that I was hired with (6-7 year FOs now) have totally lost hope of ever upgrading here. We fully expect to see a new job or career opportunity before we see an upgrade.
