There won't be a door anyway. It will be sold off to remain "cost competitive".

Umm this is exactly what was said, and yes was truly being done in the GO, about the 900s before our last contract. Shiny new jet carrot for mgmt to dangle in front of pilots to get them to sign whatever the company wants. Oh, and who was last to get those 900s? Fix the operation, cut the fat, and then maybe then we'll be profitable.

I don't know why all this hate directed at management. It's your union leaders that has stalled negotiations with the endless fighting between MECs.

I think he is just referencing how the 900's were used during the last bargaining process. Granted that both MEC's had their shortcomings but this does not mean that they shouldn't negotiate for a good contract for the pilot group. You still work here right? Are you telling me that there aren't things in our current contract that you would like to see changed?

There's plenty for me and it doesn't have to be in the form of a pay raise. I'll keep the current rates, nothing lower. If anything, seeing as how most of us will probably have mainline upgrade times here, they need to increase the pay cap on the FO side by a few more years - say about 10th year. I would like to see more hard language written into the contract and not the company can, shall, could, would, should or whatever else is there. I don't know if this could be done but there has to be something written in the contract for the grievance process as well. It should be resolved in two weeks and nothing longer than that time period. There are others but you get the picture.

Management needs to look at all other areas of the operation to be cost competitive than its front line employees.

So this Ejet purchase... Extends our time the contract gets done or minimizes it?

I think the company is hoping that it will shorten the time. Those carrots have a way of doing that!
