Turns out, King Tutt is a pretty good tap dancer. First question regarding how captains on reserve are routinely breaking 100 hrs and there are no upgrades so summer is going to be a bloodbath and... he doesn't even remotely speak to heading off the impending "critical mass."

I didn't think he was tap dancing. He did say there's a possibility of a small upgrade class. He seemed to lean more towards the option of increasing line values to increase reserve coverage. Also the horrible weather of this winter/spring, maintenance issues, and higher sick calls were a contributing factor to high reserve usage

That's on the 200. The 700/900 is well staffed with little to no open time, at least from the FO perspective.

But in all seriousness, their staffing model has failed. If we are canceling flights for crews (yes, on the CR7 as well) then we are understaffed. Also, reserves are not meant to cover known flying. They are there for contingencies. On both fleets they are extensively covering known flying, leaving little coverage for contingencies. So when these MTC and WX issues come up, we find ourselves at SH's "critical mass."

And with the last bid there were a few upgrades and several people jumping ship back to the 200 leaving cr7/9 fo about ten people short by my count.
