Never dis on the merry acres! It's a classic. I love the Orange Archie Bunker recliner
The Hilton's could take some lessons on how to treat its customers from merry acres. They ain't fancy but they are good folks. Always went out of their way for you. Dropped off and picked up at my door! Old ladies always show early to make sure nap guys have a hot breakfast before they took you to the airport.
I'll take good people and great customer service over up to date wall paper any day.

I liked the Merry Acres. I don't like The Lodge.

But CRJ 200/700/900 are considered a common type according to the agreement, and pay will be according to the ratio of 50+ seat aircraft to 50 seat aircraft among the common type. So if you have 5 CRJ 200s and 5 CRJ 900s for a total of ten planes, then the top 50% of pilots assigned to the fleet will get the $2 bump regardless of variant and the bottom 50% will not get the bump no matter which plane they fly. So if you're junior, you can fly the 900 and get no raise.

But we're in joint negotiations for a new contract. This sets a precedent. And if the L-XJET side gets 50+ seat aircraft (which is obviously the intention, or else why invest the effort to negotiate an agreement) then any fleet with a common type (like CL-65) will be flown by a single group of pilots.

I don't think dual qual is a good idea, especially for a new hire with no prior experience on said equipment.
