What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?

Is this just speculation of movement? My number really hasn't changed much at all. Anyone in ATL on the 7/9 can see there are more pairings. But the block hours are actually less than last year. Notice they have no 4 days during the week. All 4 days touch weekends. And only about a hundred 3 days or so. It's all day lines and 2 days. I too was wondering why the number of pairings went up so much. And the ATL 200 is dwindling too. Yes there are some rest rule changes coming up. That proposes a challenge. That is the only staffing challenge I see.

The ATL 700/900 pairings went up because 2 more PQ tail 900s were delivered in Febuary and have hit the line. 5 of the 12 are on property, all 12 on property by May. Projected lines for March up from 160 to 200. Block hours down on the 700/900 from last year? I doubt that since we have more 700/900s then last year.

Who cares about summer staffing? We all know we will be working our butts off with 12 days off/month, 100+ hr line values and we will all stop b!tching once they offer 200% open time. Same crap, different year.

If you ask the right guy I'm sure they will tell you compared to last year 7/9 block hours we may be less. Again I could be wrong as I haven't asked the right guy.

If I put in two prefrences, one looking for trips equal to 4 days with Sat, Sun off and the other with trips equal to 3 days with Sat, Sun off I come up with a total of 166 pairings. That's out of 885 total pairings. Just saying that only 20% of the trips that are 3/4 days do not touch weekends. It's an odd make up of trips that are mostly day lines and 2 days. Different than most months.

Yes more lines but the TLV has been dropped by 10hrs. Makes a difference. I was only pointing out the fact that at first glance I saw more pairings. Then realized they were mostly 2 days and day lines. We lost 8 700's from last year and acquired 5 (currently on property) 900's since. That's still down 3 aircraft at the moment. Unless I'm missing something. Which I'm sure I'am. This is ATL 700 though. In which we are talking about staffing issues and flying.
