Incorrect. MOU 18 was dealing with XJT furloughs getting hired at ASA. MOU 24 is the hiring of ASA furloughs if they were needed. MOU 24 was signed in November of 2011.

Are you reading this Captain Tony? We reciprocated the exact same thing so stop trying to drive a wedge in between the pilot groups. Try dealing with FACTS instead of rumors from a JNC that can't tell anyone what is going on behind closed doors.

I wonder if the same person that told you that also tells people that ERJ pilots can make 300k a year?

Thanks for clearing that up but it still remains that your MEC wanted something from us in return for signing MOU 24 when our MEC did it straight up, no strings tied.

Now that that is out of the way, in the recent jetstream CT mentioned another vacancy bid early next year. The question I and the people I have talked with have is for what? I was under the impression that this recent bid was for the 12 coming 900s. Am I missing something or did he let the cat out of the bag on something?

Ok. Is it a fact* that Costanza told a pilot they're better off on furlough? Is it a fact* that Bells told our MEC that they were calling the shots from now on? Is it a fact* that McKnight tried to push through SmartPref as a primary bidding system without knowledge or authorization of either pilot group? Is it a fact* that your MEC told our MEC they were stalling negotiations because "not one XJT pilot deserves to be furloughed" (after we agreed to hire their furloughees with no strings attached)? Is it a fact* that one of your 6 year ORD Captains "informed" me that "I heard directly from my rep that the seniority merger WILL be relative, and my 6 years will put me senior to your 12"?

*Trick question. These are all facts.

Tell me again who's driving a wedge? Oh, yeah, it's Big Mean Captain Tony because he stirred the Pipe and too many people got their little panties wadded up at the audacity of it. Not your MEC and their shenanigans and obsession to steamroll us. Yeah Ok.

Grow up. News flash, vast majorities of ASA pilots hope we stay separate. And it's starting to look like we'll get our wish.

The way I take it is that they will have a better look at the block hours for summer and how/when the CRJ200s will be removed. But then again, why have another vacancy bid with effective dates Feb/Mar when you come out with another around that same time? That's a lot of training/shuffling around in just a 6 month timeframe?!

The recent bid was for DFW and partially for the 900s. The 900s trickle in slowly and won't all be operating until the middle of 2013. I would expect that another vacancy would be needed to fully staff the operation for the summer, especially if attrition takes off as expected. The need may be mitigated by the 200 draw-down (details of which are still unannounced) or greatly enhanced by unannounced additional flying. Keep your fingers crossed and don't count on anything.

If a position notice comes out in Q1 2013 I wouldn't expect the effective date to be until May or so. Aircraft freeze can be enforced if they want to keep shuffling to a minimum. In any case they needed to issue the current position notice to staff DFW. They may not be sure enough about summer block hours to post a comprehensive notice this far out. If attrition takes off we might start to see regularly position notices every few months again. Here's hoping.

^^^ THIS I remember in 2007 there was a position notice at least every month. In June of 2007 I moved up 150 numbers!!!

Here's hoping that kind of movement comes back...
