I guess so many people left from the 200 to the 700 in ATL. It is looking like I made the wrong decision.....DOOH!!

Where did you bid too? From my most recent calculations, the position notice shows about 340 FO's needed on the 50 in ATL. Currently, I believe, there are only about 280-290 after the mass exodus. That should mean there will be over 60 positions available in this seat! If this is true, I believe most new hires will be assigned ATL CRJ 200 FO! Am I crazy?

I went from the 200 ATL to 700 ATL. I was thinking that since they were going to reduce ATL by 30 on the 200 I would be back on reserve so I figured might as well do it on the 700. Plus each prelim they kept adding more and more 700 FOs.

Even better! (For me,sorry) I noticed on the last pre-lim that the 700 was full, and the most vacated position was the 200 ATL FO. Assuming the position notice was correct (340 spots,) it means tons of 50 seat vacancies in ATL. If your number is accurate, that would leave 100 open positions on the 200. If this stands true, it is honestly upsetting how they run these vacancies.
By showing all positions during the pre-lims, they don't show the whole picture. These snap-shots do not include any new-hires. I have many class-mates that left the 200 for the 7-900 because the pre-lims showed them more senior in that position. That assumption is only based on currently hired and trained, available pilots and not on total positions available. If all was fair, the company should list the positions available (including new hire vacancies) on the pre-lims. It should also go without saying, the 7-900 will always be senior.

This is exactly what I was talking about. What wasn't mentioned during the pre-lims, was the overall seats available. If you had looked at the initial position notice, you would have seen they need 340 ATL 50 FO's. The last pre-lim only shows 294 of these seats assigned. Knowing new-hires are in the pipe, that would mean anyone on property now, would get at least 36 new hires behind them. I feel the company does us all a dis-service by not including open new-hire vacancies in the pre-lims.
