What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?

What are you talking about? I had my November schedule on the 19th and I didn't have to log on at 0001 to do any dropping or swapping. I'll have the second half of November off, got every off day and every trip I requested. Yay PBS.

Are these two responses REALLY coming from the guys that like to preach "you don't understand your new management!!! They'll exploit every loophole they can!!!!"
What part of my post didn't you get? It's simple, they'll just become more efficient, or rather "cost competitive". Sure, take the 6 hour standby and count it toward your 75. When it starts to add up they'll just make sure to assign flying that doesn't have you break 75 hours.
Also, have you read the ERJ CBA, specifically the reserve section?
Same question applies to you, have you read the ERJ CBA reserve section?
......speak for yourself.
So what you are saying is negotiations are null and void. A 6 hour ready reserve for 6 hours credit is no good. I promise it isn't a wash. 6 hour ready reserve for 6 hours credit would create a surplus of pilots willing to bid RR for the credits. Considering most trips don't credit 6 hours per day! Even if one can't bid for RR; the reserves from both sides would love 6 hours credit from a RR. I can tell you as a RR pilot multiple times per month, we would ALL benefit! Would you rather work 6, 4 hour periods for 24 hours credit, or 6, 6 hour periods for 36 hours credit! If, like you say, the company prevents you from breaking 75 hours, wouldn't this rule create more un-used days for reserves?!
Also, have you read the ERJ CBA, specifically the reserve section?
You're dodging the question. If you sit ready reserve, you are paid hour for hour. That equates to less trips to the airport to sit there and stare at the walls. It also means less guys have to do ready reserve. The company will get the coverage they need at the airport. If it means more or less bodies. I'd rather be compensated and do it less times than the way you currently do it.
......speak for yourself.

Truth is we should cherry pick the best parts of the contracts, blend them, and make sure that they provide for a profitable future for our company so that we have a place to b!tch about.
I would love to sit 4 hours and get paid 4 hours. Makes sense, if it works for the company, why not. We have to have some measure of sensitivity to the market right now. A market with high fuel prices that does not favor 50 seat jets. Talk all you want about contracts with mainline partners, but if it's not working, you just set an expiration date for your job/company unless you want to work with them to create a good solution --- in other words, ya ain't gettin everything you want. No one is.
If we're stuck on PBS, then agree to a transition process timeline that resolves the bidding system or agree to go to a 3-way binding arbitration with the company as the third party on the issue of bidding only.
Quit getting overly emotional, lord knows your/our negotiators don't care, they're getting paid either way to sit on their arse - paid by the company none-the-less (which is footing the bill for negotiations).
