Not intended to pick on the XJT guys, but we had a pretty awesome ZED system through Delta that was pretty vital for my family. Apparently the XJT side didn't have many (any?) interline agreements, so management developed a "new and improved" ZED system, and when it was announced we lost all of our existing interline travel. At least now we have the luxury of traveling on Estonian Air! Major fail.

Not sure why management had to burn down our premium interline travel program on the ASA side just to placate XJT...

I'm wondering if the ZED changes coincide with ASA starting UAL express flying.

I was under the impression if your carrier flies exclusively for DAL your carrier can piggy back on their interline agreements, but if you start flying for another code your airline is on its own for interline agreements. That could be totally wrong but that is how it was explained to me last year.

Possibly the case. But we started our UAX operation in 2009 and my Delta ZED stuff worked until they rolled out the "new and improved" POS system recently. Who knows, but it's a royal pain in my @ss right now.

Shows how little you know. If they want to do that, our CPAs go out for almost another 10 years. You talk this diatribe like our ERJ contracts are up next year.

Nice flamebait. Explain to me how destroying a pass travel program "placated" us. I eagerly await hearing this explanation...

Funny, I just used our ZED agreements to fly all over Asia and Europe recently on KLM, Cathay and Lufthansa. Perhaps you missed the latest memo, but our agreements cover a lot more than just "Estonian Airlines".

Correct me if I'm wrong...

Skywest/ASA altered a contract for 20 200's, in order to receive 10 900's.

6 of those 200's are now in Pheonix, flown by Skywest pilots.

There is always a way around the contract.

You do realize that CPAs can be renegotiated by those who sign said agreements don't you?

Wrong, only two were ASA aircraft (N885AS and N889AS). The others were SkyWest aircraft. (N407SW, N906SW, N907SW and N468CA)

Completely false. Where do you get your information? 6 ASA 200s were part of the 15 or so SKYW US Airways PHX 200 flying. Our MEC filed a grievance.
