What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?

Really...We just had a local election in ATL and our ballots were Atlantic Southeast ballots. We elected reps. that are members of the Atlantic Southeast MEC. There won't be a single XJT MEC until there is a JCBA and a single list.
Are the rest of your pilots this ignorant?

It's not an attitude...It's the truth. Sorry if you can't handle the truth that as of today, there is an ASA MEC and an XJT MEC. There is an ASA pilot group and an XJT pilot group. That will remain a fact until there is a JCBA and a single list.

I know that's the way it is.. It's the constant bickering I can't stand. We are going to be one company.. Like it or not. Might as well try to work together and get along so we can get shiit done. That's the way I see it. Is there something wrong with that?

Most of us on the crj side feel the same way... personally, I have friends on both lists, so it would be nice to remain civil.

Do you have proof or is this something you've heard? Link/source/PDF? There is a lot of language in many contracts, any way it can be worked around?
So far we have been presented with nothing to 'play ball' with. We're not trying to be the tough guys, but we're not going to take concessions. I want the best for this merger, as does everyone else I fly with. Both sides have some total idiots who post on these forums (not naming any names). But the truth is that 95% of line pilots on both sides want to get this merger done and dusted and end up with the best for both sides.
Nobody including "Inc." is proposing concessions....However, your side is living in a fantasy world if it thinks you are going to get 10-15% raises out of these negotiations...That isn't "playing ball".
You might want to look around a little at the industry around you....

There is no shortage. We've been able to fill classes thus far and more than likely continue to fill classes. Comair is a great source for pilots. I'm not denying a shortage, I'm saying it's not here right now.

They only people who've even dropped the word concessions is LXJT. I'm not for a concession and I believe many of our LASA guys will not accept cuts. Do I believe you'll receive the money back from your VOTED IN concessionary and MORE, absolutely not.
Some junior LXJT have voiced they were in no hurry because we were loosing 200's. They didn't want to be furlough protection. I agree the United TA will turn some heads. I believe JA will do more than that!
I don't believe one person has mentioned the word "bought" or "buy" in the last three pages of this thread. We were simply talking about contract negotiation progress.
Agreed as stated above.

The thing Flightline will not keep intact is the current concept of a line divisor. Sadly the ultra senior will have to fly like the rest of us in a tough month instead of being able to pass their hours down the line. My heart breaks. Are you willing to trade your vacation extension away for the top 5 guys to fly 75 hours in a tough month?
No, SmartPref will be a serious killer of QOL of the bottom half of the seniority list in bigger domiciles and many more than that in a smaller base. We don't cling to this out of ignorance. We want to keep it because it WEEKLY LINE BIDDING! How can something that we see as a a bit better than your line bidding be a drop in QOL for your group when we see SmartPref as a huge drop in ability to maximize time off.
McKnight the devil? Keep chanting that. It only diminishes your arguments. If you can't beat the other side with logic make us look like meanies. ASA pilots hate McKnight! That's the only reason they are against SmartPref.
Sorry, not the case. I don't doubt his commitment to his pilots for one second. Disagree, yes. Hate him? No. Thanks for playing.
