are you guys high, I can for one tell you this is a lie. For the exjet (get it?) you would have been out of a job 10 years ago before inc gave you a chance. But once again was worthless to keep around. Let’s also not forget how Skywest bailed out UAL not too long ago. Now for the guys who think Skywest started the jump seat war...let’s get the facts straight as well. UAL wanted to give their pilots priority of SKW metal. That’s right, higher priority than Skywest pilots on, Skywest OWN airplanes. Why on earth would they allow that? UAL wanted to give Skywest ****ty priority on other metal when Skywest flies more routes and flights than any other regional for UAL. I get it you hate us cause you ain’t us.

did I say that? Or are you applying that to try to take shots and not actually accept the reality? It’s a fact express jet wouldn’t be around and United would have been in even more financial hardship...look how long express jet has lasted after they were sold by INC

ExpressJet Flies West
I can’t understand why brainwashed Skywest Kool Aid drinkers still think that the people of ExpressJet brought about their demise? Oh they should feel blessed that they got an extra 10 years because of Skywest? The simple fact is that Skywest had the ability to make them a profitable airline. The chose not to. Then cast blame on the employees of ExpressJet and you guy eat it up. Just how gullible are you???
This is why I said the other post was dumb.
The statements over simplified for anyone that started post 2013.
INC tried to make the XJT side more profitable.
The proposed way to do it was to have the XJT guys vote out their union which would allow a merge of the seniority lists by DOH.
The reasoning was because,
1) by the XJT contracts, the XJT pilots were too expensive for the aircraft that were being flown
2)you can’t merge a union and non-union seniority list
Let’s not forget that CC was not the CEO when the buy happened. He knew it wouldn’t work financially for either company, but when he took over it was his job make things happen.
Of course that was voted down bc there was no way XJT was going to vote out a union and take a $10/hr pay cut just to get a seniority list merge.
SO after all of that fell through and COVID happened,
UA bought XJT at their( still) high pay rates and let subohd drive them into the ground after promised contract negotiations.
That 10k per year that the senior CA’s made from 2013-2020 (70k over 7 years) will be lost in 7-8 months of not being employed now that UA shut XJT down.
It’s a huge bummer. I understand and empathize with both sides of that table.
Maybe hindsight was 20/20?
Would the XJT guys have been better off in 2020 being merged with OO which would have created a 7000 pilot “super regional”?
I don’t know, maybe, maybe not.
What we do know now is that any of these guys will be starting over at the bottom of the list at commutair, if they even open hiring up.
We also know that getting ****ed off at other pilots isn’t going to solve a damn thing.
The whole situation blows.
I wish everyone could just give it a rest.

There are 2 issues, and they are mutually exclusive.
1) XJT guys hate OO, the AIRLINE, because of how hard we got screwed over by the Utah mafia.
2) OO PILOTS have a reputation as pretentious and arrogant d-bags. Sorta like hipsters without beards. Not ALL of them, but enough to give the rest a bad name. This is recognized INDUSTRY-WIDE, not just by XJT guys.
The first issue and the second issue are often mistaken for each other. Every now and then, you have a guy who thinks the actions of his company somehow have ANYTHING to do with his own value. These guys say stupid things like “you hate us ‘cause you ain’t us”.
* it’s worth repeating.....there are plenty of good OO dudes.....but you usually end up being surprised they work there. Sorta like meeting a Southwest CA who taxies slow or something.

Lets discuss your second point. One could argue that express jet pilots have a reputation of being extremely whiney and having this idea that everything should be given to them. They also seem to blame everyone else for their trouble. As this page has proven
Obviously not all xjet pilots are like this, but this page seems to bring out the worse of them.

like I said before , the only reason you guys survived this long is because of the “Utah Mafia” so perhaps be thankful you actually had a job, because if it wasn’t for the Utah Mafia, you’d been belly up 10 years ago.

right...here I am....defending my fellow pilots and a company that has been very good to me and done it’s best to not furlough a single pilot standing up to the a group that’s constantly bashing them. Yep I’m the bad guy...
