It’s really more of the score on the technical part of the interview. I’ve not flown more than a few hours here and there recreationally in the past few years and was still denied the precourse. I do however have almost 20 years of flying and have a good understanding of how the system works.

In a safety sensitive position like this you need to have another pilot interviewing in person with HR as well as a sim evaluation.
Sure the costs are higher initially but the money saved in the long run will more than make up for it many times over.
Passengers don’t want to know their pilot was interviewed via Skype. The bar must be raised.
No wonder new hires are going into Aviate interviews thinking the job is theirs to lose...

That right there in addition to flight attendants recruiting and interviewing may be part of the reason the new hires are having such a difficult time in training.
In a safety sensitive position like this you need to have another pilot interviewing in person with HR as well as a sim evaluation.
