So I was displaced from 175 FO to 145 CA. Training starts Oct 14. I'm definitely senior enough to hold 175 DFW or ORD. Assuming they post results on the 13th, how soon could I expect them to pull me out of DNR/GET etc?

I think he had already started training. They made him finish all training, do the full IOE and fed ride. He said he got something like 8 hours on the 145 and then started long term on the 175.

I spoke to a guy a couple weeks ago that was in that same position. But you are scheduled to start training within 14 days of the bid. I believe that prohibits you from bidding, per the bid info.

If it matters, I was supposed to begin my 145 CA upgrade training on September 2. Got roped into an HR thing and my training got pushed to the 16th, then the 23rd. I started the 23rd, went for the week, missed GET due to being sick, and now have been rescheduled to start over again on the 14th. Surely there's some language in there somewhere that would get me out of the starting within 14 days clause. They've been screwing me around for a month now and I'll be furious if they can't work this out. What a waste to go through 145 LT and immediately go back to 175 LT. It's a 100% wasted type on their part.

Purpose of a career is to maximize income and earnings with less effort. Enjoy your time off with family & more money in your pocket. Believe me, the flying and PIC time will come if you think that matters or will matter in the months and years to come. So many have the competitive PIC and background not getting called.
PDT guys would love to trade places with you. They are getting abused with tons of flying and crazy schedules & not even the pay or recent LOA benefits that we have. Guys there are waiting a long time for CA training.
My perspective is to enjoy the CA pay and time off as the company figures out it’s training inefficiencies as Winter Is Coming. At least your getting CA pay, as many others before you did not. I agree with your perspective on the training backlog, delay, and so much wasting of money and inefficiencies on type training. It’s laughable.

No. I can't, and won't, go into details of the HR issue, but because of it, there were multiple instances of being assigned RSV days against the contract etc etc. My sick day is my problem, obviously.
