Envoy
It takes about 1-2 week but overall someone will /should contact you right away. I expect while your away doing your CBTs.
Early on in my Indoc training back in 2016. While in CBTs, my mentor contacted me. My mentor CA’s were great/have been great resources to me.
These days the mentors could be FO’s who are past probation as well! You don’t need that much experience to mentor these days since the volunteer mentor level is so low!
To be quite honest when you get on the line you will also find one or two CA’s you really click with on your equipment/base, get that CA’s number that you admire and look up to. Even tho they will flow, well before you, they are an invaluable tool! Most wont mind mentoring or providing guidance.
If you don’t have a Mentor while in training don’t fret, although you should. The new ALPA Welcome Guide that gets passed around now is an AMAZING and great resource many of us on property did not have as NH. The guild is an amazing resource. Even provided lots of info on what to expect in training and a treasury full of information to survive your first year at Envoy and will help limit your exposure to getting Envoyed. If u get my drift.
Most of all your questions will be answered in that welcome aboard NH guide. Most of the relevant info and guidance mentors will give you are on that Welcome Aboard NH guide. Send an email to ENYMEC.Alpa.org. If you have any questions.
Remember the union still look out for you even if your still on probation and not a dues paying member yet, all the resources you’ll be able to get access to as well just like a Line pilot would. From my experience ENY ALPA volunteers want NH’s to call & utilize them.

Not possible... NHs are not given a list of mentors to contact. So it’s impossible for a NH to contact a mentor.
Mentors contact NH’s. At least that how it was for ALL my NH classmates and I.

For those of you who are on the line, ALPA Mentors wear blue badge backers to identify themselves as such. If you have any questions, and run into one, say hey. If you haven't heard from your mentor at all, or can't reach them, then reach out to the ALPA membership committee so that you can get squared away.
