Complaining about unnecessary delay vectors from Fort Worth Center inbound to DFW, does nothing. Declare min fuel or a fuel emergency, if you have to. Being whiny on the radio doesn't work. Makes it sound like you should be working elsewhere.
AA had the stones today to declare...
So can you.

What's the timing look like for a return day from a JM this month? Would I be able to use my return day to break down a 4 day trip from next month into an easier to trade 2 or 3 day trip before ATTOT opens? Or will the return day not process until the RF window opens?

When you send the RF RTD put the days you’d like. You must put the three choices or else they’ll kick it back to you.
You won’t know what they will do unless you send the RF RTD. Your coworkers here can only speculate.

That's why I'm asking about the timing, I know how the form works and the requirements to use it. I just want to know if it'll be processed before or after the ATTOT window. I figure someone on here has used this form before.

I’ve only submitted it once and it was last year. Took over a week to see a result. YMMV.

Got it. It will be after the ATTOT window. I have been told that RTD’s are a lower priority in the big picture. Remember there’s no requirement for them to provide the RTD in the same month you were taken below min days off.

Excellent, just what I needed to know. Much appreciated.

I really think it all has to do with staffing. DFW CAs shouldn't have a problem getting one approved the next day before the ATTOT window. NY CAs may have a different experience though. Submit it now and if it gets denied send it again. Send it EVERY day. Call during the 9-12 window and talk to them and be NICE. There is no reason they shouldn't respond the next day.

I've got a few questions for those of you in-the-know.
For ORD-based Envoy pilots --
How many hours per month can an FO holding a line expect to fly?
What opportunities are there to pick up additional flying on days off?
For someone motivated to maximize they're flying every month until they hit 1,000 hours, how feasible is that goal?
Thanks!

Expect around 18 months to make captain, if you come in with no previous time and you fly every possible day you're allowed.
