CRJ going to PSA. 145 going to PDT. And 145 going to LGA. Skywest moving in and taking more ORD Eagle flying. May not close today, but unless they announce a 175 base showing up, the writing is on that so called wall.

It will be over at least a few years if it does close. The CRJs are leaving at only one per month this year - at the end of 2017 there will be 25 CRJs still around. I think ORD will stay open but will obviously be much smaller than it is now. Again, it will take a very long time for it to wind down if it does, years at least (IMO)...I really can't see them closing ORD as a base, it will just be a further handcuff to their recruiting problem.

The real truth to this answer is no, nobody can confirm whether it will close or not. It seems safe for the short term, it seems like it would be a self-inflicted wound for recruitment if they did, but that doesn't mean it is impossible long term. As a general rule for the airlines, don't believe anyone who claims to be certain. Plan for all contingencies instead.

5-pin XLR plug. I think it's the same as Airbus. Works like a champ. I'd suggest carrying an XLR-to-standard converter in case the port is inop...or just use the company DCs in that case.
