If we are sooooo short on CAs then how in the heck can we open another base? Where will these CAs come from? Unless they staff it anyway and put a real strain on other bases and everyone gets critical coverage pay. Maybe they are hoping that by shutting all the flying down from Transtate their pilots will come and join envoy as a DEC.

I counted 76 E145 CA’s on the Reserve List in ORD alone... “company” is smarter than many assume. Additional base reduces DEC time on Rsv in LGA. Essentially yes, them TSA folks based in RDU/IAD and beyond would relish the idea of DEC and AA flow.

The TSA flying will probably eventually be staffed by Piedmont’s CLT base. Even though the TSA’s planes are going back to Envoy, doesn’t mean they can’t transfer other 145’s to PDT. I have heard from several people that PDT will continue to receive 2 a month as long as they can staff them.
I think it’s obvious AAG wants all the regionals to be a single fleet type.
PDT- 145
Envoy 175
PSA CRJ’s

You’ll be at AA thru the flow by the time that comes to pass. Many years. Charlotte will have it’s 12,000 ft runway completed before all that happens. By then Piedmont or Envoy may not even exist. Also look back a how long it took CRJs to Xfer to PSA, and all parties wants the transfer completed like yesterday.
So when will you start at Piedmont? Or are you waiting for them to announce a pay raise before pulling the trigger? Honest positive question not sarcasm.

Have class dates at both Piedmont and Envoy for early June. Right now I’m leaning towards Piedmont though. Nothing against Envoy just think it may end up being a better situation for myself. Better commute and possibly no reserve time even as a DEC. hopefully the possible TA over there will lead to some better schedule efficiencies. That’s probably the biggest down side of PDT right now, plus the lower captain pay then Envoy or PSA.

I'm more curious why you aren't looking at Endeavor or republic.

A little over a year ago, had an extended visit with one of the heads of Envoy training. He said exactly that for the WOs, with the exception Envoy would continue with some 145s. There are some places Envoy serves that just don’t support the larger 175s. Otherwise, spot on.
