Why should we get paid 1/3 of the rate (and no 16% DC) of an 190 driver Just because our 175 says eagle on the side.
UAL is hiring 1500 hr CFIs direct to mainline. If we are safe enough to fly a 175 on former 737 routes we should get paid for such duties.
If you think differently quit and go drive a school bus.

If they are, it would be the rare one off exception with some incredibly exceptional reason.
Now, in a few years as the regionals implode as the majors suck them dry, I think it will happen with some frequency. Then it will be just like in the 1930s, late 1950s, and early 1960s. (Note this excludes specific times when heavy exMil pilots got hired.)
But if you find someone now, they are rarer than hen’s teeth. (For you city kids, hens have no teeth.)
