Default Upgrade Advice/Insight

So apparently everyone in my CRJ upgrade class has resigned, and I found out it’s down to just me. It starts Easter Sunday at 7am. Are they really going to do 1 on 1 training for 4 days? Seems the instructors time could be better spent.

Add to that I am bidding LGA 145 on this next bid running on 4/10, which I will easily hold, and several people have told me I’ll be pulled off the CRJ because I will not have started any A/C specific training yet (the bid runs during my 10 days off for CBTs).

Has anything like this happened to anyone? Or can anybody clarify how the bid affects someone in training. It just seems like a waste of everyone’s time and money. Especially since I am not seat locked (invol displacement) and am preferencing for what seems to be the least desirable position with the company.

Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

Wow! Everyone resigned? So much for low numbers of attrition. People aren’t going to let this company ruin their lives and I can’t blame them. Lots of negativity lately. We need some good news.

CRJ classes are set up for 6 people total - 3 CA upgrades, 3 FO
If they have time to bring in someone from the next scheduled class, they will. If not, the instructor will fill in for the missing crew member

JUST TO REITERATE!!!! If you come here as a DEC make sure you are ok with never being home unless you live in NY or plan to move to NY.

I had tried to copy before. The timing on the double tap seems to be the key. It still took me quite a few tries to get it to work consistently.

I get why somebody would quit. But an involuntary displacement where you aren’t seat locked, and are able to upgrade without going to LGA? Can just bid right out. Maybe had something else good in the works, but just seems petty to me.
