I’m hearing that hiring classes will start getting cancelled if it doesn’t contain HVAs. We have zero need for FOs at this time. They have a pool now and when they decide to have a class they will pull from that pool. At this point, ENY could be the only regional not having new hire classes on a regular basis.

Lol. It's always time to have those apps out.
But even if it's true it's not the end of the world. Or it's not even that bad of news. We hired 1000 pilots in about 13 months. No one thought we could do that at the end of 2016.

Agreed. It would be nice if both the company and union would communicate what is in the works for us. Even if said "change" never came to fruition, at least the employees are kept in the loop on what's going on. Because the way I take the silence right now is: management has some sly moves up their sleeve.
^^^ THIS^^^. I totally agree as well. But I also understand the reasons not to communicate what is in the works. It most likely would or could be used against us.

I have not heard of a new hire class yesterday, so this may be the start of cancelling classes. The previous class was on the 12th so they should have had one yesterday. If they did cancel the class this week, maybe they will have one next week and start offering classes every 3 weeks instead of 2 weeks.
