So is anything going to be done about our reserve? Since that email that we got last fall from MEC about a proposed new reserve LOA (which was a joke), we haven't heard anything...
not trying to complain cause I know things have been worse in the years past for many. But that was then and now is now. Currently I feel like Envoy has the worst reserve compared to many other regionals.

I don't know why so many people complain about reserve? What's so bad about reserve? I come from another regional and it doesnt have better reserve rules than Envoy. What's so bad about it? You get paid 75hr but you fly 30hr (per the union) If you have some seniority you fly less than that. You are garanteed 11 days off but you may end up with up to 30 days off. If you pick up OT you may credit more than actually flying a line. If there is a problem with our reserve rules I think there wouldn't be so many senior guys bidding it across the board. I am not says its the best or that there isn't room for improvement like having a better commuting policy(late start on your first day and early finish on your last even though if you have seniority you kind of have that garanteed already most of the time) call me first call me last for the people who want to fly and the ones who don't and many other thing that might benefit us all as a group but to say that our reserve rules need fixing i'm sorry but I don't agree, I think that there are many things in our contract that need improvent like: pay, flow, commuting and other things that don't come to mind right now.
When I talk about commuting is fixing our contract to have to have things that make it better to all who commute like for example have a positive space to go to work or more commuting hotels.
When I talk about flow is making sure that the company flows as many pilots as possible every month.
When I talk about pay is not only increasing the hourly rate 20-40% across the board, its also adding stuff in the contract to increase our monthly credit like duty rig, trip rig, 100% deadhead pay, 200% OT, leg by leg pay, raise min days off to 12, 100% company paid health ins, among other things that would increase our monthly credit to 120+ hrs every month.
Dont get me wrong im not saying I dont want to see reserve improve I just think that there are other things that if fixed or improved will automatically improve reserve and everyones life.

It sucks when you are junior, commuter, or we are understaffed. Other than that I love our reserve system.
