So, what if the street captains bid a different aircraft besides the 145? The way new hire seniority is ordered these guys should be able to get a CRJ or 175. How are they forcing them to take the 145?

Part of the HVA agreement I’m guessing.

I guess I'm lost here. What contract violations are we talking about? The company can hire street captains. The Assignment of equipment for NHs isn't contractually negotiated. Finally the company does something smart and applies a seat lock to a new CA instead of a displacement with no seat lock.

“INITIAL ASSIGNMENT
1. New Hire pilots will be permitted to bid for their initial domicile assignment after all currently qualified First Officers are offered the opportunity to bid for such vacancy. Awards will be made in seniority order among those pilots in that training class.”
So if they are forcing HVA to accept a CA position when their class seniority can allow them to hold an FO position then that is a violation of the contract.
