Question: if I’m a commuting captain and I sit reserve and there are guys below me with consolidation hours will they be given open trips over me even if I proffer for them. Thanks

They can only pre-assign/award them trips out of seniority/proffer if they’re within 30 days of their consolidation deadline.

So short answer yes, under the above conditions only. And they can be an out of base pilot too.

Yes. This has been the case since the first big displacement bid. HVA just confirmed it. They don’t even go to FO training. Straight to CA long term.

It sounds more like FOs who are trained as Captains and immediately displaced to CA at the first available opportunity. It will be interesting to see if they are willing to put them on paid vacation if they finish training before a bid is available. Can they right seat qual them as fly them as FOs??

I don’t think they’ll sit in the right seat. Just have to wait for an official bid award.
