I’ve got a blatant violation of crew scheduling breaking up a trip and awarding OT to our of base reserve pilots that are not even close to their 30 day consolidation period.

Well... I’ve have seen at least 9 full trip sequences in open time for the 145 in ORD and DFW altered. I was watching some trips for ATTOT and they were around 17-20hrs and now the same trips are worth 10-14. They shouldn’t be touched until after the ATTOT window. Seems like they are taking turns off of both sides the sequences to give to people who are not consolidated, leaving line holders with minimal options to trade in too, if any at all.
Just got my first line in March and already the 1st sequence has been altered. I’ve lost the first 2 days of flying. It’s showing up in OT. Is that what you’re describing above?

Crew scheduling is cannibalising sequences well in advance and awarding it to reserve pilots.

He's referring to trips sitting in open time. If CS starts butchering those trips there are fewer trips, or less desirable trips for line holders to trade during the open trade window.

Sounds like a transition legality. You will get paid for the dropped flying if you selected yes for the transition option when you submitted your monthly bid.

I’ve been trying to find this in the contract and LOA’s. Do you have the reference I must keep skimming past it.

It is at the top right page after the examples of (appropriate/inappropriate assignment of OT)
It states "If after 90 days from the date a pilot completes his checkride and has not accumulated 100 hrs....the company will assign him the trip sequence with the highest flight time value....."
So, if you go to pick up OT and they assign a trip that you bid for contact the union. Email them and tell the what happened screen shot it. They can help you get that trip if it was a violation. They have helped me out similar situations. They are pretty quick about responding back to you as well. Or grieve it and get the time off and pay. OT trip grievances are pretty easy to deal with so long as you have documentation. (Or so I have heard from other people.)
