Plus if you send an RF to do a partial pickup before 0400, lately I’ve been seeing swaps and drops sitting on it rather than action it by the next day like they’re supposed. I guess in the hope someone else picks it up as a full trip so they don’t have to break it up or it gets assigned in advance to a reserve pilot that needs consolidation.
Contract says OT will be processed and awarded not later than 10am central each day. If they’re not doing that than grieve it.

He’s the kicker if you get to the recurrent step, your consolidation starts all over.

And they obviously can’t forecast flying 1 month away, so who knows if there will be a substantial increase in flying. Then that means they won’t consolidate again. Plus, they are still hiring 60 per month. I think there will be an extreme overstaffig situation in the near future. ORD FOs have ~100+ reserves, LGA isn’t far behind, DFW is the best place for a reserve to get a chance to fly, MIA has barely any flying/OT. The next 6months will be interesting to say the least.

Grieve it??? That doesn’t do anything. You still lose the flying then you have to prove you put in and they gave it to someone less senior on reserve just to maybe get paid. Pain in the a** for you the pilot and they know it. Whole point of picking up OT is to get it, then fly it. Combing to a conclusion months later is a joke and defeats the purpose.

Yes I know. I’ve just started filing all my RF messages and denial requests so I can better keep track of it so I can file a grievance and tick all the boxes.

I only noticed this month that it’s been blatantly happening.

The whole point of picking up OT is to get paid for it. If you don’t grieve this than why bother grieving anything. About a year ago I put a partial request in. They didn’t award it to me the next day and gave it to a junior guy the day after. Called them out and they claimed they never got RF email. Grieved it, showed proof (took about 5 min) and was awarded the pay the very next month.

With them transitioning away from emails and wanting us to use the envoy website. How do you plan to document that you sent it? I haven’t submitted a request on the website yet.

Screen shot and email it to yourself or if using QuickTrade then it sends you a sent receipt for all the RF messages.

Same same for the denial HI6 messages that comes days after they should. Then take a screen shot of the date and time and who the actual sequence was awarded to.

I’ll probably have about 6-7 decent cases for grievance by the end of next month now that I’m keeping track of it properly.

I have problems with the fact that they are awarding trips to reserve guys for consolidation, or full trips disappearing in the 0400-10am next day window. What irks me is that they sit on your partial RF request for days and then subsequently award it to someone needing consolidation, or someone else then picks up the full trip when they should have already broken up the trip by that point.

Is it legal to give to to someone who needs consolidation? I’m reviewing contract and cannot find it. So I think they are lying and dragging feet on purpose to say they didn’t get it until after it was awarded.

Sorry I meant to say I don't have problems with them awarding trips legally as per the contract. It's just when they sit on your partial request RF and then the trip disappears after the window after they should have executed the partial request, then you subsequently get the denial message that the trip is no longer available.

I also know that some trips aren't even appearing on the OT board at all, they're bypassing that and awarding trips to reserve pilots well in advance without even giving a line holder an opportunity to pick it up should they wish to.

Yes it's legal once the reserve pilot is within 30 days of end of consolidation.
