Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I'm really torn right now as to where I want to go. Obviously it's a personal decision only I can make (and you know, the whole getting an interview and being accepted...)
As I mentioned, I'll be 35 this summer, mid life career changer, been slowly building my hours since 2007. Kids, life, & the recession / etc got in the way. Currently do IT full time for a national lab in Chicago, while there's stability and I make more then a 4 year captain at Envoy, it's just killing my soul. I want my kids to be able to fearlessly chase their dreams, and I have to set that example. That being said, I'm about topped out pay wise in IT, so long term aviation has a better potential.
Currently have 4 year of survey under my belt up through last year. 2 years of ferry flying off and on, and currently FO on a Citation XLS with a PIC type rating.(Pt 91) Our plan is to move back home to West Michigan in the next year or so, so ORD is big. I'm working on finishing my degree (I have about 85 credits now) but having the flow in my back pocket isn't a bad idea (even at 9 years...) I slung bags for America West / US Airways back in the day for 5 years, so I'm not totally new to the 121 world.
My current top 2 are Envoy and Air Wisconsin...but just started thinking about Endeavor too...I dunno, I'm still a couple hundred hours short that I'll finish over the summer, so there's lots of time for things to change.
Cheers.

Yes, I know...
Anybody else hear any rumors? I seriously doubt it, but a friend SWEARS there is a disturbance in the Force indicating a 145 base.
I thought at first he was talking about the Compas 175s but he says 145s. Anybody even know what there is out there and who is doing it besides the Compas 175s? Skywest, maybe?

And a guy a flew with claims it’s coming. Said the info comes from someone in a position to know and he was told because they knew he was a West Coast guy. Ironically he is flowing so doesn’t care. He said part of the spool up with bodies and the 140s is for LAX. He says we will start with through flying from DFW and ORD. I would think that would require more lines in DFW but RW’s memo doesn’t support that.
Again, I’m doubtful, but stranger things have happened. I’m sure eventually. Time will tell.

I’m surprised AA didn’t figure out a way for Republic to do this flying. Shouldn’t last long. They work very hard to not give us flying anywhere interesting, enjoyable or place you would want to go on a day off. Want to go someplace like the moon in winter time, we go there 3 times a day and you’ll have an overnight there on every sequence.

I think it’s safe to say that all operators for the regional feed of AAG have no idea what to expect at this point. Quote from Kinner a couple weeks ago when he spoke to our recurrent class was that the 145 and 175 would be getting around the entire system by this summer, especially the east coast. If you look in the travel planner, the 145 will be doing 10 flights a day from JFK/LGA to PHL starting in April, with turns out of PHL too. We are seeing turns out of CLT already, and BOS flying starts this summer. Anyone’s guess as to what this means going forward. Still 25ish 140s to be brought back from the desert that they plan on supporting all this flying with.
