Is Envoy really forcing people to upgrade, and causing displacements to other bases, even if the person is not ready to upgrade but happens to have the 1000 hours?

Yes. We just had more than 50 FOs displaced to CA.

Looking at the bid that just came out. We have basically street Captains now. And with all the flying we have to cover there is no reserve for new hires or new upgrades. No forced displacements.

Default Eye insurance

Hello all,

Been with Envoy for almost a year now and am looking to enroll in eye insurance because I believe I may need glasses soon. I just wanted to ask the guys who have it about how much it costs and is it worth it? Or is it better to just pay out of pocket for my eye care? Thnx in advance!

Yes, get the insurance. This year, and I believe last year as well, it cost only $2.81 per paycheck. It's decent coverage too.

Also the Hyatt legal plan on offer is worth its weight in gold. I’ve already used it for wills, power of attorneys and a dispute with a landlord about a leaking ceiling in a new apartment.

You can also get auto insurance through MetLife, and if you go through the Envoy account person then it works out to be about half the price of farmers, geico, State Farm etc.

Anyone else get a mailer for an HSA this year? Trying to verify if they are finally offering one. I found one in a packet a few years ago and signed up, the lady on the phone assured me it was and then turns out it was an FSA. I was livid and they refused to fix the issue.

So, there are no pilots on reserve at all? Or is It just guys that want to be on reserve?

And you get to flying old 145 aircraft. They also throw in low time lines with 11 days off and 4-5 legs per day for free.
