Neal? Please...ask the real question and you'll get the real answers. United and Delta pilots hate him. He tried taking them for the same ride he took Envoy pilots. And that gofundme page of his? Yeah...he was collecting people's money while gainfully employed by the FAA. Yep, you read that right. Don't believe me? Look up the Cincinnati, Ohio FSDO office...district 05. Who's name do you see there? He scammed the company and pilots...his little FMLA bug outs were reasons to go play golf, among other activities. When he was caught, he threw out a story about sinus infection and pizza. And poor Envoy pilots were left holding the check.

Sam Pool knows the skinny....there's no love lost there. For good reason.

Training department is kind of shooting themselves in the foot by not giving priority to the people waiting on checks. The longer they wait to schedule them, the more review sims they have to provide them, therefore decreasing sim availability.
The scheduling people are new. There has been some turn over due to the stress and high work load of the job. They have been more focused on upgrading CAs then getting NHs through training. Everyone knows that delaying NH training has a negative impact on new hire training.

More than CAs upgrading, is a little unfair for NH. Going off for almost two months without any kind of training to then comeback for a refresh and a checkride. Chances of failure are pretty high.

Don't take the check ride until you feel ready. If you think you need more than 1 warm up session, or whatever it is they give you, tell someone and you will more than likely be accomodated. In the meantime, relax and enjoy the paid time at home. Or better yet, use those travel benefits and go on a world tour.

Really.

From someone that had training delays as well.

This is a VERY intelligent response. You guys! These are all GOOD problems to have. Too many people WANT to get thru LOE and IOE to enjoy rsv and tha line. I hope it stays this way for years. The other side of the coin involves furloughs. Just sit tight, and ask for additional sim sessions. Enjoy training pay. Go to Rome. Go to Paris. Go to Japan. After IOE, you a-- belongs to Envoy!
Really.

Still one of the best captain reps dallas ever had. Didn't the company pay out big to make sure there was no arbitration day?

Default The Trend in Bonus Pay

It appears a new hire at AW (possessing an ATP/Type) receives $39k in sign on bonus pay by the time they finish IOE. With the rapid escalation in sign on bonus pay among all regional airlines the question I ask is where is this all going? What's in the future, $100k sign on bonuses, higher base pay?

Good for them.

Bonus is fine right now, that should not be the focus. Bonus can go away in the snap of managements thick fingers. QOL improvements are needed ASAP, ENY lags behind *SOME* peers in *SOME* aspects, I estimate atleast 2+yrs behind *SOME* peers who have made some sort of QOL improvements for the respective group pilot (SKYW has it good still, RJET, AWC, COMMUTAIR, TSA, MESA, PSA, and the biggest turnaround ENDEAVOR)

Any disagreements? I could be wrong (QOL at ENY is like a see-saw, depends on company interpretation, the month, just no consistency).

*Updated / Clarification.

I'll keep MESA in that list, I did not say the list is for airlines that are better than ENY. I'm referring to increases... Mesa did recently make improvements. Although small, still QOL language and improvements. That ship is not sinking yet as many might assume. The airlines listed made QOL improvements, I'm not here to compare bonus yard sticks.
