For those hired after the last contract was signed it is actually true - the minimum rate increases by one pilot per 125 on the list with a base number of 480. As a 2000 pilot airline we would flow 17 per month, for example.

Just to clarify something for you. When we talk about the flow plan we are referring to a schedule for when pilots are to go to training for CA upgrades or CA/FO base transfer. Every month the flow plan is adjusted abit for staffing needs. So a pilot is awarded an upgrade to CA and then he looks at the flow plan to know when he goes to class.

Actually it's the lesser of that or 25% of AA new hires for the year. I guess maybe 25% could be more than 17/mo or whatever, it just seems unlikely.

"At the point in time when the first pilot hired after DOS is offered a flow through opportunity, if AA is hiring pilots, the lesser of (a) 25% of all AA new hire training slots in that calendar year, or (b) five new hire training slots (increased by one for every 125 pilots above the base number of 480 on the Envoy master seniority list) times (“x”) the number of calendar months in that calendar year in which AA actually hired pilots, shall go to Envoy pilots."

So after all the pre 2011 guys flow, it drops according to the formula that "jersdog" referenced a few posts earlier?

Yes. The chart is posted on the profile page of this website.

If you look on the alpa website, it gives you a very rough estimate on flow times.
According to that, someone hired in Jan '17 could flow Jan '23. A new hire in Jul '17 until Jan '25. So every 6 months or so we are adding 1 1/2 - 2 years to flow times.
That of course isn't taking account for early retirements, oal attrition, etc.

If the retirement numbers on this website are even remotely accurate then during that time, American would need to replace 5000+ pilots. So in simplest terms, who cares about the flow. As long as you're not an idiot then you'll be at a major of your choosing soon enough.

Hi Guys,

Good Morning! I recently received an invite for an interview from Envoy Air. I have a question about the paperwork required, specially transcripts that they want from the county colleges I went to 17+ years back. Do colleges still keep records of students who studied there 17 yrs back? Kindly let me know. Thank you.

Regards
Jet
