I've been hearing a lot about PHX and LAX. PHX due to AA wanting to move out the buses and bring more 737's in but there would be a gap that would need filled during the transition and LAX primarily due to the compass jets coming back in 2019.

Who can tell really. My guess is they go west before anymore on the east coast simply due to the completion out here and the fact that we already have two bases on the east coast.

Businesses want to pull business from their competitors and the area of the country that Envoy has zero market share right now is the western half of the country.

All speculation though and anyones guess is just as good as another.

For the record, this isn't a sure thing by any means. But yes, anything is possible. The rumors are more indicative of a northeast base as AAG scrambles to replace the AWAC flying. I'd put my money on PHL. But when it comes down to it, all we have are rumors and guesses. Only AAG knows the final plan, and even then, their plans are extremely dynamic and change frequently.

Why would Envoy open up a PHL base when Piedmont already has one?

I think the question is how much staffing is needed to cover the AWAC flying.

Staffing issues at PDT possibly. I have a bro over there who was hired in December and just went to sims late last month on the 145.

They're backed up in training over there and it's unlikely they can cover that lift by the time AWAC leaves the nest. It's logical that ENY pick up the slack. As PDT spools up, ENY will be moved back out - big reason for that LOA that was just ratified.

What's the current upgrade time at the various bases?

Just trying to see what the potential for anything west of the Mississippi is with Envoy.
I seriously doubt they will renew the contract with Compass when it runs out in 2019 or 2020. Envoy is the only logical option to take over that 175 flying in LAX since it's a WO. Long ways away though. I'm sure a lot will happen by then.

Go to the Envoy profile page on APC. The breakdown is towards the bottom.

PDT can't handle all of the flying.
