I'm doing my sims now. My partner is also an FO. The instructor sits in the back. PF sits in the FO seat, PM sits on the left. You do everything once, then take a break, switch seats, and do it again from the other seat. So you always do both PF and PM every day, and sit in both seats every day. The instructor helps you with CA flows, but when you're PM, you'll read the captain's checklists and do all of the captain tests. It seems to work pretty well. The only thing that is tough is CAT IIs, as those are seat specific. The instructors do a good job getting you through them though.

So a Miami base is a Go! I remember somebody saying it and got bashed by others saying he was lying, and that he was a Union Kool-Aid drinker. I wonder how they feel now. anyways as a Miami local im happy for the new Base.

Very nice for the people who prefer this expensive city, I assume it will be a 145 base.

The only negative thing in the back of my head about the news is the flow. With the 140s coming back, and now back to four bases, can the flow keep going? Keep in mind when we had four bases we were 3k strong and they were metering exactly to 25 at the time. Now not so much.
Congrats to the MIA folks though. I know many who commute and this will make the home life so much more stable and enjoyable.
