...from my understanding, two is needed when wingtip clearance is in question or/and when hand signals are being used!

I thought FAs' don't open the doors, gate agent does. This is mainly to prevent accidental slide activation.

The CRJ is different, the door is opened by the FAs.

I checked, 2 agents required yes, but only one as a wing walker. Station management may require a third, making it two wing walkers. This all on the push back.

Coming in, a minimum of one wing walker is required unless clearance is less then 10 feet from any obstacle.

Furthermore, there are specific scenarios that require 2 wing walkers for all fleet types per FM1.

As far as the door/seatbelt sign goes...parking break set, seatbelts off, doors open.
This is correct in regards to ramp policy often being stricter than the FM1. As for seatbelt going off, the captain kills #1 and when you get the off indication seat belt signs go off.

Yeah sorry...that's absolutely correct, I should've been more clear. I was just trying to illustrate that the parking break being set is when everything is good to go instead of waiting for chocks. But yes, killing the engine is when the signs go off.
