2 wing walkers are required for the 175 at most, if not all gates at all times in DFW. I believe that is a ramp policy more than an FM1 policy. I believe there are a handful of gates B gates that only 1 wing walker is required, at least that's how it was at one point. Furthermore, there are specific scenarios that require 2 wing walkers for all fleet types per FM1.
As far as the door/seatbelt sign goes...parking break set, seatbelts off, doors open.

Yeah sorry...that's absolutely correct, I should've been more clear. I was just trying to illustrate that the parking break being set is when everything is good to go instead of waiting for chocks. But yes, killing the engine is when the signs go off.
