Thank you, Sir - exactly the kind of advice I was looking for!

So all 145s were LGA only and not choice of LGA/ORD?

So why is assigning initial seniority by last four of your social or alphabetically "more fair" than by age? I'm sure if your name begins with a "Z" or you last four is 9999 you wouldn't think so!

Maybe they should assign initial seniority by score on the ATP written.

And, any way you get you initial seniority, everything IS still by seniority.

he is the most straight forward check airman on property, he's not there to trick you in anyway! he may not ask questions verbatim off a list of questions but more of a scenario base.

memory item, limitations, if you screw up - correct it immediately and move on! your goal is to keep the sim flying!
Best advice ever. Perry was my favorite instructor and we lucked out be cause JC called in sick for three days. He is straight forward, and a hell of a guy.

Are you seriously asking that question? Is it not obvious? Older guys are more likely to have a wife, kids, mortgage, old parents that require care, etc. along with just generally more **** to tie him down. As a general rule, a married 45 year old with three kids and a mortgage cannot pack up and move as easily as a single 25 year old flight instructor with $19.99 to his name.
I was 25 and single when I got hired a year ago. Happened to be in one of the jackpot class where we got choice of base and equipment, and I happened to get DFW which is what I wanted even though I still had to move to Texas, but I would have moved to Chicago if I had to and if I had to move to New York if I got hired now I would. Why not? If you are young and single with nothing to tie you down and you still choose to commute, you are retarded.

Because if you're 50 it still won't be a guarantee that you'll get what you want if you go by social, you could have a lower or higher but the other guy who's 23 could be lower or higher as well.

What?? Who's to say a 25 year old doesn't have equal amount of commitments as well? What about a 33 year old? Obviously the older guys that got DFW are probably in or around that area anyways.

You're obviously very young to be asking such questions. And your lack of life experience is displaying just why seniority by age in class is fine. Just saying.

My other airline was fair and random. No older guys monopolizing the slots. Again 25 year olds can have 2 kids and a wife too. I don't think age should matter anyways, it should be fair, but for arguments sake.
