Ok guys, I have a little more time before my next flight...plus I wanted to cross check this information with different people to make sure it wasn't just hearsay. It's solid..so here goes.
First, yes. 50 140s coming out of SJT and back in service. This is due to increased flying in DFW and LGA. This will allow ORD flying to come back up.
MIA satellite base announced around September. No LAX, Skywest will handle that flying it looks like.
BUT..and here's the biggie: Two new bases we have never had before. Nobody could (or would) confirm what they are specifically...but one is "out west" and the other is east coast. As far as we can guess...out west it could only be PHX. East coast there are numerous options, but my money is on PHL.
There was an issue with lodging in France..not sure what, but now AA is looking in Eastern Europe for more 145 sims. Prague was a possible city. Also, AA is very actively looking for additional 175 sims. Impedending announcement?
That's what I have for now.

haha...Sorry, man. I wasn't trying to be coy...I really don't know. If I did I would spill it. All I know is that AA wants those 20 at Envoy yesterday. No mention of what base. Other than that...all I know is that Compass has dug their heels in and is clinging to their AA contract for dear life. American attempted to throw some serious cheddar their way to get them out of it, but Compass is very, very worried about what a displacement and loss of contract would do to their staffing retention.

New guy question here...I need to commute out of Alaska for one or two years until some things get settled. I have educated myself well and understand the pros and cons of commuting and am willing to commute in order to begin my (new) career. Assuming the choice of location presents itself where would you consider it to be easier to commute to from Anchorage? DFW, ORD or LGA? Anyone with knowledge regarding jump seating (including on FedEx and UPS) would be greatly appreciated because AAG only flys to Anchorage from June to September and there are ALOT of cargo trips that refuel in Anchorage. If things play out like SkyVector guesstimates PHX also sounds like a good bet...I assume I should be tracking 145 if I want that. What say you?
