Being one of those old farts frequently mentioned, I don't think I will have much of a problem getting a 175 slot in DFW. (but I have been wrong in the past.) Would someone be so kind to either post or PM me with their typical monthly bid? More specifically, a 175 FO guy on reserve in DFW. Thanks in advance..

But anyways, now that the 175 deliveries are winding down being at the bottom of that 175 list with no movement on reserve I'm sure it won't go as senior. You can get DFW on the 145 now too relatively quickly.

But we'll have to agree to disagree.
If you've flown both jets, fair enough...we can agree to disagree. But I've flown both and I'd say the automation on the 175 is vastly superior. To name a few: Automatic packs and bleeds, autotune for the localizer course and frequencies, don't have to set the field elevation for landing, auto tilt on the radar, automatic anti ice system test, no gust lock to mess with, and with the coupled VNAV you sit back and watch the plane cross all of the restrictions on an arrival at the correct altitudes and speeds. But I absolutely agree with the rest of your post, the 145 could definitely be easily handled single pilot and it's very automated itself. And man, it's a blast to fly. The 175 list is definitely going to stagnate very soon. And schedules trump equipment all day everyday.

The E175 is far superior.

Because I had no choice. Not everyone here is a line holder. Besides, it doesn't even require a phone call anymore. Now that we have to check your HI3 or HI6 before going home. Regardless, things never will get better here. Staffing and schedules will be way behind the demand and squeezing us captains to the breaking point. This is a different company alright. No doubt about it.

Does anyone know how many reserves are typical for a DFW 145 FO? Essentially, how many in that status are on reserve each month?

Thanks.
