Good points to ponder. Appreciate the info. Soon to be 56 yrs. old, just have to decide whether to start my career over again or just rest on my laurels that I had a good long run with it already. No question about it, there's never been a better time to be a pilot..
If you feel like you can't do anything else but fly, I understand. But I can willfully say Envoy is not the top notch place to be. If I was you and felt the desire to start over in the airline race, I would look into something different like corporate flying. But that's just me. Now that I have a family to support, I'm stuck here unless one of the majors is interested. Yes I've applied, like everyone else has.

If you were to ask actual envoy pilots in real life, 90% of them would disagree with him. Online forums have traditionally been the home for the disgruntled. Nothing will ever make them happy, so a pinch of salt is required.

I concur. 90% of the pilots here are happy. It's just the 10% who are never happy with anything that try and populate these boards and sow their discord with anyone who will listen.

EDV or PDT unless you live in an ENY base. Those would be my choices if I were to make a lateral move today. Both have better movement, less reserve, and better schedules.
I do recommend ENY to people who ask me that have low or no FW hours. ENY has found itself a niche to help those. But I think PDT is not far behind.

How confident are people that the flow will work as planned? That has been one of the major draws for me. I know EDV has the eventual preferential Delta interview, but ENY seems to have a bit more to offer now.
I have also considered that getting on with AA as an off-the-street hire (non-military) seems to be getting harder, with all of the slots being taken through flows. Having AA in the back pocket while still applying for the other two legacies seems to be an advantage.
