Past hiring trend is a key to the future hiring trend & competitive market for pilots. (Higher regional pay, QOL improvements, flow, CCP, Delta interview, strategies etc. are not out of the kindness of mgmts heart, its necessary to get bodies in the door.
Remember folks, there are plenty of pilots out there, its not a pilot shortage, just that pilots were/ are willing to work for deplorable waged, QOL, schedules, bases, career progression/upgrades, etc).
Pay attention to some of the class sizes, photos, and age demographics, 25% - 35% of some classes are being filled by middle age and older 35 - 55yr olds) now entering the regional industry. Some are comming back after having left for many years.

I am on displacement number 5 here throughout good times and bad. When one fleet shrinks OR they decide to move equipment to a different base for whatever reason they choose, displacement bid comes out. Your life and status in base means absolutely zero to their planning and last second changes. You'll find out soon enough. Doesn't matter what the current industry looks like they can displace anyway, and if you think they care about costs of doing it, think again.
There is a reason everyone here says the exact same thing. It's called YEARS of Experience. You should probably learn from it instead of thinking you know it all after a few months. You are always safe in status here, until your not.

You really have absolutely no clue how this company/industry does things do you? Enjoy your artificially high relative seniority in that seat while it lasts... You "may" get lucky.

I don't think displacing some FO's out of DFW 145 or ORD in either status is far fetched at all over the next year. Could very easily happen. They do some things that make no sense here with planning and pilots aren't any part of their equation. Not saying it will or won't happen. But This same scenario played out years ago on the CRJ when they started moving it around between bases. New hires were super senior (for a while) with other senior FO's getting shafted. Then things went back to they way the should be.
Who knows what will happen but the new hires on the 175 thinking they are immune from seniority are just being naive.
They should Enjoy it while it lasts. They are in a lucky position. For now.

Temporary seniority bumps usually level out over time and that will likely be the case here.
