Taken from Eaglelounge from one of the DFW reps.

If they are claiming we are understaffed with zero-time lines, minimum to below guarantee lines, and reserves flying ZERO hours, at what point are we properly staffed?

envoy management has shown their hand that they have no intention to follow any agreed upon contract or award. Choose wisely if you have any desire to "flow" because their illustrious recruitment tool appears to be a farce.
Instead of flow through agreements, the focus should be on better pay and better benefits for the Envoy pilot group. Frankly, that should be the focus at all contract carriers. There would be no need to obsess over flow through if pay and benefits were solid. Last time I checked, we operate these airlines in the same airspace, same weather conditions, under the same regulatory environment, and with the same required emphasis on safety. The folks I fly in the back of my jet also fly on mainline.

Of course you're OK with it, you've been selling it and standing behind "their" math for months now. I've been saying their math is fuzzy since Summer and you bend over backwards to dispute and attack that and now this statement ?

Folks, you just can't make this stuff up...............well, apparently some try their best though.

It isn't a surplus of you can't let the pilots go.

But apparently DFW alone has a mind-boggling near 50% reserve coverage with many hard lines built to the low 60 hour range (down in some cases to 11 days off to boot) and you defend the premise that they "can't let the pilots go" ?

YGTBFSM !

To pour salt in the wound, according to a union source, it appears that not only did management NOT notify the Association before releasing the latest information, the Association believes that management IS NOT............repeat, IS NOT honoring the flow agreement. It would appear that you are living on a different planet then the rest of the Envoy pilots, including the Association.

Reserve coverage is not "near 50%". It's in the mid 30s.

Is that consistent in all domiciles ?

Most carriers operate with less then that AND have hard schedules built to at least 75 hour averages. Combine the two and the claims is they cannot release another 5 pilots/month ?

I consider that smoke and mirrors, fuzzy math and undefendable excuses.

Hey eaglefly, you sound like you work at Envoy. Are you really employed by American Airlines (mainline ops) right now? I'm not even refuting what you are saying, but you seem to be a current Envoy pilot. This is not hate message or anything, I promise. Just asking...

No, not an Envoy pilot. Actually, I never was, I was an "American Eagle" pilot, but that carrier is no longer, both in name and spirit. Still know people there who deserve better and it appears they are still being jerked around by just about everyone, including a few of their own pilots here. I just think any pilot who is considering Envoy should get both sides of the story and another POV, but obviously some there don't like that. At least it appears more and more already there are starting to get the message, especially considering these latest statements from the company and the union.

Yeah, it looks pretty tough out there for Envoy, but so does almost everywhere else. Full disclosure, I'm with RAH, and even though the current contract is far better than the last one over here, we are still not doing as well as I or others would like to see. I'm not even rooting for any of these airlines in particular, but I think all the flying at the regional level should go back to mainline.

Sorry, you were an envoy pilot...because American Eagle its just a brand now. So it doesn't matter you were still part of this company.
