I'll do my best to stop engaging him directly. As we do in the cockpit though, I will still have to make reference to his eccentric ways for my personal enjoyment. I usually start out with a good Carl story, then I'll move over to a Commander Ted Story, I'll tell the one about the Leather Jacket if things get slow, but invariably we end up laughing about eaglefly/thrustlever. When things settle down and the is a long period of silence, I usually say, "Hey, did you ever hear about the Kennedy Steamer?" That generally gets things going again.
LOL !

You've said this EXACT thing in the past, i.e., that you'll refrain from engaging me directly. We both know it won't last. Just checked my B.P. in the gym and it's actually slightly low.

BTW, couldn't you two have texted this to each other, what being the real life chums you are ?

One of our revolving door of Chief Pilots noticed me still wearing my Eagle Wings and said:

"I see you're still wearing your Eagle Wings and Tie?"

Me: "yep."

Him: "Were you issued new Envoy stuff?"

Me: "yep."

Him: "Can I ask you to wear them?"

Me: "yep."

We stared at each other for a couple seconds and he knew what I meant.

I'll wear my Eagle Wings for four more months, and put them away so my grandkids can find them some day. A part of my life that while I'm proud of our group and what we did, I don't want to live it again.

Sounds about right. My experience with the CPO is they mostly would rather you be at work then nit-pick about something on your uniform. And a lot of the guys still wear the stitched shirts with the logos on them anyways.

Why pay for new uniform items when new ones are coming? My shirts are getting a little long in the tooth, but still presentable. I hope the new stuff shows up soon.

You see the Email from Fuel-Savings-Bobert about getting fitted? not sure how ready a Men's Wearhouse is going to be when we start showing up asking for uniform fittings. Lol

Nothing wrong with having pride in what you do or for whom you work. Wear them proudly, I say. You have achieved a goal that many only dream about, never forget that.

I'll wear my uniform how I want, you as you wish.

Have you ever been fitted for a suit or tux for a wedding? It's incredibly easy. They use a nationwide data base. You walk in say "I'd like to be measured." They take your measurements, enter them into the computer. Done. Or they just give you a slip with your measurements on it.

Takes about 5 minutes.

Not that advanced.

Oh I have. It is just funny that they want us to come in a schedule a time to get fitted somehow in our already shortened off times with our schedules being what they are this next month.
