Actually I think your the same person so yes one of your personalities is less dumb and extreme than your other personality. You can keep saying 8/16 but it doesn't change the premise of my previous post. You must think that your fellow aviators are pretty stupid to not understand the circumstances facing a person hired today are different from the current career prospects of someone hired just before the biggest aviation downturn in history.

Not that I believe your 2 1/2 yr envoy pilot claim but if a you ( or any envoy FO in that circumstance) truly believes that the will fair better going to PSA, PDT or any other regional advertising a fast upgrade, I will gladly help you to make the transition. I'll even give you a letter of recommendation. Go to RAH or TSA, you will make more money from day one. You would have to be a a complete moron to stay at a company with an eight year upgrade and 16 yr flow when you can go to Mesa and upgrade in 12 months and get hired by the mainline of your choice the moment you get 1,000 hrs 121 PIC! What are you still doing here ag386? Go out, take control of your life and chase the quick upgrade promises! The Majors are waiting for you to get your magic 1,000 hrs. Those other 10,000 + pilots who already have it and are waiting for a phone call are the exception, you're special.

I'm not selling anything to anyone, but you are wrong. 16 years ago the flow was 16 years. 8 years ago the upgrade time was 8 years.

Nobody knows what the flow/upgrade time is today (Rick Wilson included).
