Realize that this posters response is likely from a bitter and angry person who didn't have the luxury of 2.5 year upgrades and 5 year flows to AA.

The honest response he wants is nothing like your post. We are now hiring 70 plus per month. The movement that will generate is incredible. You can expect Envoy to hit the 3 year mark on upgrades in 2017. Flows continue unabated. Envoy is absolutely the best career choice you could make. You won't even realize 5 years have passed here and then you'll be at AA.

One thing you always avoid is the crj, yes we know according to Dick they are leaving starting one a month in April. The schedules on the crj are as bad as it gets 11 days off 80 hours, 12 to 14 days off 72, 73 hours. So if the new hires come to Envoy and get stuck on the crj, life will suck pretty bad for them, as they will be on reserve the entire time starting in April since we will be losing aircraft, and schedules will not get better since we are losing the aircraft. So within one year a new higher may have to do two long terms(3 longterms in 2.5 years if you count upgrade, so that would be 9 months of training in 2.5 years, and three jeopardy events for a new hire).
If I was a new hire and I was offered to see RJ I would walk right out of that class.
It's people like you that are making a lot of the new hires that have been here for a year year-and-a-half pretty ****ed off, they're not seeing any of the benefits you recruiters talked about while they were being hired.
For any of you new hires coming here, please take everything cr700 says with a grain of salt, because he is paid to make things sound great here.

Envoy has a lot full of used cars for you to buy! Great prices! 6 year financing! Don't worry, you'll never need an airbag. The statistics are relatively low to have a head on collision. It will hurt, but you will hurt for only six years.

There's no bitterness, big guy. I just point out what you fail to talk about. While the 2.5 year upgrades and 5 years flow will be great if they happen, why do you leave out the things wrong with envoy? We have the worst Qol out of the WO'S, and just about every other regional. You, like to say suffer for 5 years and you'll finally be happy AA. If that's the case then, AA is the lowest paid, and bottom of work rules. Hopefully that will get fixed in five years but we can't guarantee that. And is that supposed to be the new Norm suffer for five years so you can possibly have a good career in 6 years. If you're so adamant about how easily this will work, tell me, why do we have the 4 and 12 year caps. I, and most of the rest of the company believe that after the 824 we will see huge changes in flow.

I took the CRJ ORD on monday. I live in base. I understand I'm going to be on reserve. How many CRJs do we have? Isn't it going to take a couple years before they're all gone? Thanks for the info.

Those who still live in the world of management still have not got envoy to 2.5 upgrade and flow in 5 years. Selling that is nothing moye than total bull shi+.

Living in base will be fine. Just be prepared to do a lot of training in the next 2 years. If DIC gets his way, be gone in a year. He said he wants PSA to take as many as possible per month . I can't remember what the crj count is. They stopped posting fleet size a while ago, because even with aircraft coming back we will shrink fleet wise ( that wouldn't look good for the empire.

A flight instructor friend in the pipeline program told me they get their choice of aircraft or base when he goes to Envoy. He wants the 175 in DFW which I know goes senior for new hires. I know seniority goes by age in class so do the pipeline pilots get to bid ahead of the other hires? Maybe he can take a later class and get first pick in the next class? I kind of thought it was the recruiters just selling more snake oil.
