Apparently I'm an idiot too... Not sure why this is bad?

Sounds like SAP will never happen at Envoy. Thanks for the insight. Too bad; seems like it would be a great recruiting tool and help morale/QOL across the board.

Agreed. If Envoy had SAP, I'd be going there. As it stands, I'd rather forego the $$ and go to skywest or republic ahead of Envoy and the brutally bad schedules. You're locked in the same plane for 4 or 5 years (upgrade time), too, from what I understand. I live near ORD, but for some reason, I don't like the 145. I have something against lawn darts, I guess. CRJ is going away, so 145 is only game in town in ORD.

30 additional 700s were announced for AA a few months ago. These are the ones that came offline from United. They are also in addition to the current 700s already on property. So 40ish total 700s flying for AA

They will be split between ORD and PHX (and a few in LAX too?). Many if not all the ones going to PHX will be replacing the -200s

I would go to skywest if ord is your wish.

Cr700 will make the case, speak as if he speaks for all of us, and in the end only convince us more he's under Ric's desk.

I have used PBS in the past, it sucks, and I was senior. The union always makes it seem like it'll be OK if they run it, well that's a joke, because without any work rules it doesn't matter who runs it, and we have none.

smutter got it, no work rules and minimum 5 hour pay per calendar day makes pbs just another pilot whipping tool implemented by the union. also half the mec members at envoy are management.

Problem is, all the trips suck at envoy. So you could drop trips to get more days off. But the pay would still suck. On the 700 our trips are from 13-18 hrs and a majority of the line are 11 days off. So you work 80 hrs and have 11 days off, or 72 hrs and 14 days off. No fixing that crap. Say you got an 80 hr line, meaning 11 days off, you drop a trip, you get 15 days off but 62 hrs. Sucks either way.

I got the 175 in the most recent class at age 31. There were still 2 or 3 175 options remaining after my choice.

To whoever had 0.0 flight time in the last 24 months, I'd suggest getting your IPC signed off on. Also some sim time to practice more of the stuff you'll be doing in the simulator (holds, approaches, MAP's, STAR's, SID's etc). Make sure you're detailed in your log book concerning exactly what you practiced.

Apparently they don't always catch lack of recent flight time until the review board gets ahold of your file. Good luck. It is possible.

Can lineholders drop trips to get below minimum monthly guarantee? So they could drop to like 65 hour line and get the extra 3 or 4 days off per month? Is it actually doable, or are there never reserves available to let you drop?
