Wow! Just confirmed this! Wouldn't have believed this myself if I didn't see it with my own two eyes. We'll see if this was a fluke because of December, but currently reserve time at envoy is less than a month.

Yeah, this is not a good thing. This is a telling example of how absolutely awful our lines are. Because reserve is terrible here, so think about what the lines are like if 50+ FOs would rather do reserve than fly them. This is a new low. Welcome to envoy.

What time do the lines typically start and end? Potentially commutable on either one end or the other depending on your location?
Thanks

Well reserve in Chicago only has about 27 FOs for December. So Get ready for a creative month from the overlords at CS.

DFW 175 guys holding lines after a couple of weeks off IOE. Reserve list is replenished quickly though as a chunk at a time are coming online. 4/3 on, 2/3 off, pretty commutable even for the most junior lines. 85 hours credit. 2-3 legs per day, 4 here and there.

^^^^^This. And it will continue like this indefinitely. With 300 in the pipeline and pool and hiring upwards of 50 per month, you'll continue to see movement. The 2.5/5.5 is real.

It's good to see reserve time dropping. It does speak to the schedules though. It used to be 4 on 3 off was the norm and there were a good chunk of 3 on 4 off lines too. Now we are seeing way way too many 4 on 2 off lines. I think they are shooting themselves in the foot with these lines. Nobody will be available to pick up OT as a result of this and we are short on reserves so December is going to be a scheduling nightmare. When a winter storm (flurries) rolls through I bet we see a ton of cancellations because all the reserves will already be busy doing stuff people would have picked up as OT in a better scheduled month.
