What is the dress code for ground school? Do we have to wear a suit on the first day or anything? Thanks.

They'll email you the dress code. The letter I got basically said collared shirt (polo) or button down with slacks or jeans.

That being said you should also check the travel attire policy.

Which class are you in? I'm on the Nov-21 class.

Bare-midriff or provocative/revealing/see-through clothing
Beach footwear, flip flops, or sandals
Clothing with offensive terminology or graphics
Cloths with holes/ragged or cutoff edges
Shirt tails not tucked in
Visible body piercing (except earrings for females)
Exposed tattoos

Grooming and Hair (Males)
Hair will not extend over the ears or the collar except the closely cut hair on the back of the neck
Sideburns will be neatly trimmed and tapered, the base will be a clean shaven horizontal line and will not be flared, and sideburns will not extend below the earlobe.
The face will be clean shaven, mustaches are permitted.
Mustaches must be neatly trimmed, cannot extend beyond the corners of the mouth and are not to be unusual nature or size.
Beards and goatees are not permitted.
Earrings are not permitted.

Grooming and Hair (Female)
Hair will be neatly styled
Excessive long, extreme, ragged or unkept hair is prohibited.
Makeup and jewelry will be worn conservatory and tastefully

Pilots who report to schedule training activities and do not meet the stated standards will be directed, by their instructor or member of Flight Training Management, to leave the activity and return when the standard is met.

This is a false statement. The contract is not violated "to make up for inefficiency."

The AAG flight file has seriously lacked midday flying as of late. There's your inefficiency.

Following on from Pedro's request, any word on the breakdown of types/bases awarded today for new hires?

I'm in the next class and interested to know the numbers to see where I stand on my horror getting LGA.

Ok, I'll give you the "flight file" and lack of mid day flying part. But, her/his statement is still 100% accurate. The current mismanagement of upgrades is the main problem our CAs are getting JMed left and right.

So if the contract isn't getting violated to make up for inefficiency then why is the contract getting violated? Well, you wouldn't know would you because you aren't flying.

There is no mismanagement of upgrades. If you haven't noticed, we aren't necessarily top heavy on FO's either. The pilot list is managed for optimum coverage of both seats with what is available for a given month, week or day.

40 plus new hires per month will take care of this problem quickly. Your online ranting, along with other posters, some of which are trolls and don't even work here, does nothing to help the effort to keep 40 plus per month classes going.

If you are interested in flowing, you might consider trying to help instead of coming on here flinging the rumor of the week.

I get the occasional out and back JM, but if you take a multi leg multi day JM, then that's your fault. Refuse it, grow a set, or do all of you taking these illegal jm's let everyone walk all over you. 700 seems to think that's are perfectly fine because one day we'll be at AA, you sir are a ****ing joke.

Start refusing illegal jm's this pilot group is very weak, but I didn't know we were this weak.
