What is OFFENSIVE is telling him to pray to his false prophet, when he made a statement about thanking the man upstairs...and you know it. Disagree with anyone about their position on envoy politics all you want, but putting someone down because they believe in God is downright pathetic!

well that's good for you, hope things are going well where you are. BUT why are you here? I'm trying to get out of the regionals like most pilots in this level but I'm just making the best of my time here in the meantime.
working with what's presented to me and staying positive on life at same time, how is that insulting?
...maybe I just have a different approach on life, how I live it and not stress out on what management is doing to this company!!!

I just said I'm not a proponent of management, I forgot to mention our union!

...as a new hire on reserve, expect to get the scraps, that will most likely be airport standby - 0600-1400 or 1400 - 2200.
things constantly change and it's difficult to pin down what kind of schedule you will have on reserve.
there will be times that you will be called for a turn, a two day trip or more but when you return to base, you will be extended for the days you are available on reserve. It's not uncommon but the dynamic constantly changes depending on line holder availability. ie: misconnections, crew sick, late arrival or broken ac at an outstation.
picking up OT on your days off will be difficult since you will be most likely be on reserve for six days straight.

Need some honest input-
Trying to get an honest picture on QOL and would appreciate further input. I have offers from both Envoy and Compass. Pros and Cons to working for either (or any job for that matter). I will be living in the pacific northwest and will be commuting for either. Obviously with Compass having a SEA base, the commute will be relatively painless for me. The hiring bonus and 'Flow' to AA make Envoy very attractive and I would hate to miss an opportunity because I didn't have all the facts or fully understand what options I might have to make the schedule work for me.
My concern is regarding commuting with Envoy. Time on reserve aside, when I have enough seniority to hold a line, how easy/difficult is it to trade in order to build a somewhat commuter friendly schedule? I keep reading about these 4 & 2 schedules and it makes me very leery. Could someone shed some more light on this?

The problem with our trip trade system is that it is governed by a green/red/redder staffing level. The trip trade will only be approved if you are trying to trade for a trip that is on days with equal or worse staffing. In addition, you can only trade four day trips for other four day trips. I'll tell you right now that trip drops won't be approved because of staffing.
